East Coast Swing Class
January 29th
Sundays 7:30-8:30pm

Class will be from 7:30 to 8:30pm, Sunday nights in the Change Point Kenai room (the cafeteria).

The class will be East Coast Swing taught by Sara Friesen and will run for 6 weeks. Cost is $5 per class or $20 for the entire series.

Registration for this class closes this Sunday so if you haven’t registered this Sunday is your last chance to get into this class.

This is a FREE event!

Open Dance will start right after the East Coast Swing class ends.

Dancing will start at 8:30pm and go till 10.

Lots of guest DJ’s with great music for a wide variety of dancing styles: Waltz, Lindy Hop, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Tango, Salsa, and much more!

Events in and around the Anchorage area put on by other dance groups that you might be interested in!

• January 27-29th, WCS Workshop

  West Coast Swing Alaska is hosting their spring workshop January 27-29th with hustle and ballroom pros Daniel McGee and Jameson Kilburn co-owenrs of Top Hat Dance Studios in Philadelphia. They will be teaching 9 novice and intermediate level workshops in: hustle, rumba, and cha cha cha. The registration form and schedule is available at www.wcsalaska.org. You can register at the door.

  Location of workshops and dance: Anchorage Fred Astaire Studio at 1300 E. 68th Ave.

  We are hosting a DANCE Saturday Night from 8:30 – 11:00pm. Peformance by Daniel and Jameson and a BD party for Ed who turns 82 this year. Music by DJ Liv to a mix of hustle, wcs, cha, rumba, waltz, ecs, salsa, nc 2step, argentine tango and more.

• Friday, January 27th, 8pm, Forth Fridays

  Tomorrow night is the 4th Friday and every 4th Friday Teresa and Gene have a lesson and dance at the Senior Center. The lesson starts at 7:00 and the dance follows from 8:00-11:00. DJT plays a mix of music and takes requests. Cost is $7.

  7 to 9 p.m.
  Location: The Moose Lodge.
  6-7 p.m. is Lindy Hop;
  7-8 p.m. is East Coast Swing;
  8-9 p.m. is Salsa.
  The lessons are $7 for 1 lesson and $10 for the evening,
  or you can buy a punch card at $35 for 5 evenings (so with the card it’s still $7 an evening).
  “Drop-Ins” are welcome! Teens and adults – you don’t need to be 21 to
