Dance Connect Summer Break
Dance Connect is on hiatus until next fall. Summertime in Alaska is all about getting outside and enjoying our beautiful state, and so Dance Connect ( and most of the dance communities in Anchorage) take a break over the summer. The exceptions to this are Paul’s Mostly Waltz every first Saturday of the month (I dont think I can remember the last time Paul has postponed this great event) and Strictly Swing usually on the 3rd Friday of every month.
Upcoming Events
Some of you may have looked at your July calendar and noticed the first Saturday comes on a holiday, July 4th, and are wondering if there will be a Mostly Waltz Night on that day. The answer is YES! I’m planning to have a “staycation” on that weekend so will be putzing around the house. If the rising price of gas has you wanting to stay close to home that day, why not catch your fish in the morning, barbecue in the afternoon, dance in the evening and then go watch some fireworks somewhere. I can think of no better way to celebrate the country’s birthday than by dancing. I hope to see you there.
