Summer is a great time to get OUTSIDE in Alaska, so we suspend our activities during the summer. We will keep you up to date with all the dance-related activities going on during the summer and start getting our Fall schedule put together.

We have had a great year and we want to thank all the great dancers and friends that we have made in the last year. Have a great summer!

Friday, July 23′rd, 4th Friday Dance!
It’s that time again, 4th Friday lesson and dance with Gene and Teresa will be held this Friday. This month, we’ll be featuring Two-Step for our lesson, beginning at 7:00 pm and the dance will begin at 8:00 pm, going until 11:00 pm.

So, if you’re taking a break from the salsa festival, come on down to the Senior Center and do a little “roundy-roundy” with us. Music by DJ”T” will feature plenty of Two-Step opportunities and our usual 100% danceable mix of tunes. Cost is $7.
Thursday, August 19 Joel Plys Workshop
One day Lindy Hop and Balboa workshop with world-renowned swing dance instructor & historian Joel Plys from San Diego, Cal. Location: The Moose Lodge (4211 Arctic Blvd. – about a block north & east of the intersection at Tudor Road and Arctic Blvd.) Schedule: 6 p.m.: Couples’ 20s Charleston (see where Lindy Hop began), classic figures from the film clip “After Seben;” 7 p.m.: Lindy Charleston (see how Charleston evolved from the 20s to the 30s with moves like In Line Charleston, Hand to Hand Charleston & more); 8 p.m.: Balboa Basics; 9-10 p.m. (or longer): Dj dancing. Thursday – Nellee & Bobby’s Beginning & Beyond Swing n’ Salsa Lessons 7 to 9 p.m. at The Moose Lodge.
Line Dance Lesson 6-7 p.m
Swing: 7-8 p.m. is East Coast & Lindy Hop/West Coast (aka smooth lindy)
Lessons Salsa: 8 to 9 p.m. – $7 for the evening!
We have the flashy moves to spark up your east coast swing, west coast swing, Lindy Hop & Salsa!
The Moose Lodge is located at 4211 Arctic Blvd (east side of the street just north of Tudor Road).
No partner necessary. No prior experience necessary – we’ll teach you from scratch.
Track 1: Beginning and beyond basics East Coast Swing,
Track 2: Beginning & Beyond Smooth Lindy (West Coast Swing) & Lindy Hop (you choose).
